By sailing round the world in under 50 days (48 days 7 hrs 44' 52"), a symbolic figure, the Groupama 3 Team has just achieved a stunning performance. The whole MULTIPLAST team is proud to have contributed to this trimaran and thanks the Groupama Team for this additional line to the company's record of achievements.

This new reference time is the consecration of an adventure that began back in December 2004, when the production of the Van Peteghem-Lauriot Prévost plan trimaran

Multi One Design S.A. has retained MULTIPLAST for the construction of its one design trimaran floats.

Multi One Design S.A. (Ltd) has just confirmed the construction of the 5 first examples of its 20m trimaran one design. These boats are going to become benchmarks for oceanic racing in the next few years. In the long term, this series of 12 boats will compete in transatlantic, round Europe and round-the-world races.

The participation of MULTIPLAST in the Multi One Design project represents the outcome of 3 years of preparatory work.

In 1981, Gilles OLLIER created MULTIPLAST to build the first big carbon multihulls. Continual development and diversification over 28 years has led to the company becoming a reference in two domains :

• Racing yachts and custom-designed boats.
• Manufacture of large scale composite industrial components for major corporate structures.
  After many years at the head of MULTIPLAST, Gilles OLLIER has decided to hand over his growing company to Dominique DUBOIS, an industrialist in the aeronautical field and a great amateur of yachts. He intends to continue the company's development in both fields of activity.Gilles OLLIER will remain alongside Dominique DUBOIS for however long is necessary for the transition to be as smooth as possible.
