Situated between Bordeaux and Toulouse, in the Lot-et-Garonne, Plastinov, a company of 35 employees, has, for the past 30 years, been manufacturing large composite pieces, including fibreglass and polyester.

The company's exceptional skill in the making of fiberglass - epoxy resine parts and in the conception and manufacture of large dimension heated moulds means that is a natural partner for Multiplast - Groupe Carboman, allowing it to broaden its expertise and to operate in new areas.

After a year of hard work, Multiplast is pleased to announce that has been awarded the ISO 9001 certification for its Industrial activities and the EN 9100 certification for its Aerospace and Defence and Spatial operations.


A request from major contractors

Myriam Akalay, Quality Manager at Multiplast explains why the company decided to pursue these accreditations : "First and most important, our major clients understandably made it clear to us that having the ISO 9100 certification was of real importance to them. The accreditation means that we are committed - across the company - to a certain standard, one that means that we always have our clients' interests at the forefront of what we do, that we are transparent as to how our processes work, how we operate and why, when they do, delays occur. However, we wished to go further and aim for the EN 9100 certification too.This has a focus on aerospace, defence and spatial activities, which are of course a priority in the terms of the company's strategic development. More than a year ago, the internationally-renowned architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, introduced his plans for the Russian Orthodox Cultural and Spiritual Centre in Paris, to be situated on the Quai Branly. Today, the project's designs are finalized and Multiplast - Groupe Carboman started to manufacture the toolings. 

Five domes

Jean-Michel Wilmotte's vision involves four buildings: a Cathedral with five domes, a cultural centre with a concert hall, an administrative building and a bilingual school. Multiplast won the tender offered by Bouygues Bâtiment Ile de France Construction Privée for the conception and the realisation of the Cathedral's five domes.
